About Rob Hart

Rob Hart is a consummate musician who has been instructing and performing professionally since 1978. As a graduate of Berklee college of Music (Boston), he studied with jazz great Tony Williams, Mike Clark, Gary Chaffee, and Steve Smith. He established the Rob Hart Drum Studio in 1985. Some of his successful students have gone on to join renowned touring bands and award-winning ensembles. Rob is an active clinician and continues to conduct clinics and various rhythm section workshops. 
Rob has been teaching privately, performing workshops & clinics for over 38 years and has taught over 5000 students. 

Some of Rob’s successful students are: Troy Luccetta (Tesla) Kevin Coleman (Smash Mouth) Andy Galeon (Death Angel) 
Rob has also performed/recorded with renowned bassist Kai Eckhardt (John McLaughlin), Osam Ezzeldin (Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl) The Isley Brothers, Antilles recording artist Dave Mann, Dave Ellis (Charlie Hunter) Larry Grenedier (Pat Metheny, John Scofeild, Brad Mehldau) Wil Blades (Will Bernard, Stanton Moore) Marc Van Wageningen (Sheila E., Tower Of Power) CC Deville (Poison), and Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani/Steve Vai) among others.

Rob’s current project is “RHDS Music Courses” and he has shot over 50 hours of video footage done over 1000 hours of editing video, audio and PDF notation. His goal is documenting all his music knowledge & passion to pass on to future generations.
